Mobile App Development & BLE Wearable Integration

Background

UNA Watch is a UK-based wearable technology company behind the world's first repairable and upgradeable GPS sports watch, designed for runners, cyclists and outdoor adventurers.

We partnered with the UNA team to build the digital ecosystem around the device, combining cross-platform mobile development, product design, backend engineering and deep integration with custom hardware.

Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, UNA progressed through iterative releases before reaching its full commercial launch in July 2026.

Solution

We developed a React Native companion application that connects directly with UNA Watch through Bluetooth Low Energy, providing the bridge between the physical device and the user's digital fitness experience.

The app handles device pairing and synchronisation, firmware updates, watch configuration and detailed activity data. Users can track personal goals and connect their activities with third-party fitness platforms such as Strava.

Beyond the consumer application, we developed the UNA Developer Portal and contributed to the developer framework supporting UNA's vision of an open and extensible wearable ecosystem.
